Edgar Castellanos

Edgar Castellanos is a construction professional, business owner, and proud alum of Upward Scholars. After benefiting from Upward Scholars' programs and services for many years, Edgar achieved a milestone he had worked hard toward — earning both an Associate of Science in Business Administration and an Associate of Arts in Economics. That academic foundation proved transformative, equipping him with the business management, financial planning, and strategic decision-making skills that now drive his success as the owner of a thriving construction company.

With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, Edgar has built a strong reputation for reliability, quality craftsmanship, and client satisfaction. He brings the same work ethic and attention to detail to every project that he brought to his studies, managing teams, timelines, and finances with confidence. Outside of work, Edgar is passionate about music and the outdoors, especially mountain biking and riding dirt bikes. Most importantly, he values spending quality time with his family, which remains one of the most important aspects of his life.

Having experienced firsthand how Upward Scholars can open doors and change lives, Edgar is eager to give back to the community that helped him move up. He joins our board ready to champion the students who are walking the same path he once did.
