Specialty: Children in preschool and elementary school, and adults (beginning and intermediate)

I believe that my passion for teaching comes from my passion for learning. After learning a second language, I discovered the importance of speaking correctly and the advantages of being able to speak with many more people. I love my language and would love even more to share it with you!

Client Testimonials:

“Brenda is a gifted teacher who is always well prepared and who adapts her teaching to my needs and learning style. She is encouraging, engaging, and has an upbeat personality that makes our work together a delight. I love learning with her!”

Sharon Krimmel, Retired educator

“I love the ¡Habla Más! program! It is really great to work on my Spanish with a native speaker, one-on-one, and to learn about her culture. My tutor is delightful. She is so patient and adapts the way we spend our time based on my needs and interests. This program is such a win-win. I am grateful to have found Habla Más and highly recommend it.”

I love to learn. Learning is something I want to do all my life. And likewise, I love to teach what I have learned. Spanish is my first language. What a joy to share this language with you. We will have fun chatting together while you learn.

Client Testimonials:

“I have been working with Alma through ¡Habla Más! for more than a year and, in that time, I have been able to practice and improve my Spanish skills in a fun, pressure-free environment. Alma combines exercises, reading, and casual conversation to make our sessions productive and enjoyable. My goal with ¡Habla Más! is to improve my Spanish skills in a comfortable, casual environment, and my classes with Alma accomplish just that.”

Jon Mewes, Business owner

“Alma Noriega has been my Spanish coach since November 2020. I am an intermediate level Spanish student, now in retirement and working to build on my high school Spanish.

Alma speaks Spanish clearly with both a vocabulary and speed that I can comfortably follow. We’ve learned about each other’s lives and have become good friends. Our coaching sessions are enjoyable and of enormous help in improving my Spanish conversation skills.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I enjoy learning and acquiring new skills every day. I am supportive of people who want to learn a new language because it is very important to learn about new cultures and meet new people. Teaching offers a way to impact someone else’s life and I want to help others the way I was helped when I first started learning English.

I believe that learning a new language is the ability to see the world through a different perspective. I am from Guatemala, and I love sharing my native language, Spanish. I began learning my second language, English right when I moved to the United States. Learning a second language is hard, but with the right help it can be fun and done!

Tania Ventura

Specialty: High school students and adults (beginning, intermediate, and advanced)

I’m a native Spanish speaker from Central America who needed to learn English when I arrived here, so I know first-hand how both rewarding and frustrating mastering a foreign language can be. My passion is helping others break the language barrier so that they can enjoy the gift of speaking Spanish with ease.

Client Testimonials:

“It has been great working with Tania to learn Spanish. With her lessons, I improve my ability to read, speak, and hear Spanish. I really like how she helps me improve my pronunciation when I read passages. She adjusts lessons to focus on areas where I need a little more help. There is a nice mix of reading, exercises, and online activities. Because of Tania, I appreciate the culture of Spanish-speaking people and this beautiful language even more.”

Cyndi Williamson, Data analyst

“I am so glad that I decided to participate in ¡Habla Más! My instructor has been so helpful, and I look forward to our lesson every week.”

Lorenza Villanueva

Specialty: Middle and high school students, and adults (beginning, intermediate, and advanced)

I am Mexican by birth. At the age of 40 I started learning English as a Second Language, therefore I know how difficult it can be to learn a new language. That’s why I feel empathy for all the people who want to learn a new language: my language! Also, I am a very patient and friendly person.

Client Testimonials:

“Lorenza is always prepared for class. In addition to excellent discussion, she finds relevant news articles, vocabulary lists, and PowerPoint lessons that add more modalities for learning. For example, I am focusing on advanced level medical Spanish so Lorenza comes prepared with Spanish-language disease-related news articles and CDC bulletins. She helps keep notes on new words and uses Zoom chat to help reinforce the spelling of words that I might struggle with or need clarification on. Highly recommended.”

Chris Cahill, Pediatrician

“Lorenza is an intelligent, experienced, professional Spanish language coach. She is trained in pedagogy and Spanish grammar and has knowledge and interest in a wide variety of subjects. She is punctual, organized, and attentive to her students' interests and learning styles and adjusts her instructional approach accordingly. In addition, she is a warm and thoughtful person. I recommend her highly and without reservation as a Spanish language coach.”
