The Upward Scholars English Conversation Club is an ideal way to contribute if you don't have a lot of time to volunteer but are eager to engage with students on a personal level.
Our next English Conversation Club will be virtual in September. Details and registration are forthcoming.
Upward Scholars is also looking for conversation-only partners to help students practice and improve their English conversation skills in a more casual, friendly virtual setting with a fluent English speaker. Fluent English-speaking partners are expected to meet with their students on a weekly basis virtually, participate in a minimum of one 45-60 minute session or three 15-20 minute sessions a week, provide help with English vocabulary, and gently correct English grammar and pronunciation errors.
